Some of our accreditations:
Wise Property Care are members of the Property Care Association (PCA) which is the governing body in the property preservation sector.
As part of the PCA we are able to provide you with access to qualified damp and timber professionals and waterproofing specialists through being a vetted and accredited property preservation company, meeting the highest standards.
We must meet strict membership criteria in order to demonstrate our high standards, from the initial survey to repairs being completed.
The PCA provides the industry recognised qualifications that surveyors obtain, giving them expertise in diagnosing and treating damp problems, timber decay and woodworm, as well as waterproofing. Qualified surveyors are also proficient in the legal and health and safety aspects of surveying properties.
Not only are Wise Property Care a member of the PCA, we also have a number of qualified surveyors working from our network of local branches across Scotland.
When someone is inspecting your property, you want them to be competent and thorough. This is why Wise Property Care has numerous CSRT and CSTDB qualified surveyors.
Certificated Surveyor of Timber and Dampness in Buildings, (CSTDB) is a nationally recognised qualification specialising on damp and timber issues found in buildings, which replaced the original Certificated Surveyor in Remedial Treatments (CSRT) qualification in 2018. Both qualifications are recognised and give surveyors an in-depth knowledge of dampness, timber decay and woodworm, while understanding how building defects and incorrect materials used can affect a property.
Both CSRT and CSTDB qualifications signify a competent surveyor who can accurately and thoroughly diagnose a damp and timber issue, and identify the root cause of the damp and timber problem.
All Wise Property Care surveyors are vetted to the highest industry standards as part of the PCA process to obtain these qualifications.
In order to design below ground waterproofing systems to British Standard 8102:2022 guidelines it is required to use a waterproofing specialist who is experienced in waterproofing design.
This is why a Certificated Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW) qualified surveyor should be used, as the qualification is nationally recognised for designing systems for water ingress in below ground structures.
A CSSW qualified surveyor will be able to design a waterproofing system to British Standard 8102:2022 guidelines. Wise Property Care have a number of CSSW qualified surveyors working out of our network of branches across Scotland, meaning a qualified waterproofing expert local to you.
